Sunshine Obedience School was established in 1984. The first classes were held outside. A 60 x 90 foot building with a dirt floor was put up in 1986 and the next year was spent installing a concrete floor one section at a time. Sunshine Obedience School held classes in a 60 x 60 foot area of that building until the Fall of 1993. In the Spring of 1994, the school moved to its present building. The new facility is air-conditioned and heated, fully matted, and gated. The dimensions of the ring are 42 1/2 x 60 feet and there is seating for 10 people and crating area for the dogs. In the Spring of 1997 Sunshine Obedience School expanded once again with the construction of a 60 x 100 foot dirt-floor building to be used solely for agility training. North of the building is a 100 x 100 foot grassy area for outdoor agility classes and trials.
